Percussion Lessons in Boise and Beyond

Matt Grady lives in Southeast Boise and serves as Timpanist with Opera Idaho and adjunct professor of percussion at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa. He offers in-person and online instruction on snare drum, mallet instruments, timpani, and drum set. His teaching website can be found at Drum Lessons Boise.

Matt has a MM in Percussion Performance from Temple University in Philadelphia and has extensive performing and teaching experience across the U.S. He has served on the percussion faculties at Temple University Preparatory Division, the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, the Music Center of the Northwest in Seattle, and the Sun Valley Summer Music Institute. He also served as percussion coach for the Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.

His students have received many distinctions, including selection for All-Northwest and National Youth Orchestras, the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and the Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition. All college-bound students have received scholarships to their preferred universities.
